The FDA says it doesn’t believe textured breast implants meet the 'banning standard' despite cancer concerns
The Food and Drug Administration won’t ban breast implants that some women said have caused them a range of health problems, from pain to a rare form of cancer.
In March, an advisory panel convened by the agency heard testimony from patients about the alleged effects of both silicone and saline implants. It also has been evaluating studies and reviewing patients’ complaints to the FDA.
