AlphaTauri boss Franz Tost has revealed that Yuki Tsunoda could soon be ready to team up with Max Verstappen at Red Bull.

The Japanese driver joined AlphaTauri’s Formula 1 team for the 2021 campaign and built a reputation as one of the most erratic drivers on the circuit.The AlphaTauri star is the senior driver in the team despite being just 22 The 22-year-old is known for swearing over his team radio and even farted on Netflix docuseries Drive To Survive as he enjoyed a break with previous teammate Pierre Gasly.

With Gasly now driving for Alpine, Tsunoda is the more experienced statesman at AlphaTauri, with Nyck de Vries making the step up to F1 this year.While Tsunoda is sitting 16th in the 2023 Drivers’ Championship with just one point to his name, he could be seen as a future contender to join AlphaTauri’s parent team, Red Bull.‘s spot in the team looks set to be his for as long as he wants it, the future of Sergio Perez is less clear.
