The farm stand outside The Ohio City Farm officially opens for the season on Saturday, June 11, and will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon through Thanksgiving.
You can find the farm stand at West 24th Street and Bridge, just outside the gates to the farm, which is an unexpected juxtaposition of rural and urban life."I'm very happy to work here and to be part of the city," said Doe.
"We're here to do more than just grow really great produce," said Michael Bartunek, senior farm manager. "The Ohio City Farm produces, not even produces, but sells at least 60,000 pounds of food every year," said Bartunek."We sit just south of a new-coming attraction in Ohio City,” he said.
