Williams had been a 2024 commitment to LSU but said in a social media post"that it is in my best interest to stay home and play at the University of Houston." A 6-1, 200-pound rising senior, Williams had 21 offers, among them Michigan, Southern Cal, Texas A&M, TCU, Oregon, Arkansas, Nebraska and Florida State. He is rated the No. 8 safety and No. 110 overall prospect in the nation, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Williams is UH's fourth commitment for the class of 2024, joining Shadow Creek edge rusher Zion Taylor, Angleton safety Jaden Pettway and Austin Westlake wide receiver Heath McRee.
