A.T. Oasis Coffee \u0026 Tea Shop is No. 11 on Yelp's 2022 list of the best coffee shops in the U.S. and Canada for its Ethiopian coffee and treats.
A.T. Oasis Coffee & Tea Shop is owned by Aisha and Abdul Tedros. They opened their Ethiopian coffee shop nine years ago on Thomas Road.
"I don't know how to explain it. I'm overwhelmed by the love we have received from everybody," Aisha Tedros said. "We are so excited and we are very thankful and we are so, so pleased. Thanks to all our supporters who have helped us keep the store open. This is the hard work of everybody." Brewing change:A.T. Oasis imports its coffee beans from Ethiopia and roasts them in house, Aisha Tedros said. It also sells its coffee wholesale and nationwide.
The shop also is known for its homemade pastries, scones and Sambuca cakes. The most ordered pastries include the apricot and raisin scone and coconut cake. "Opening this place was a dream for a long time," Aisha Tedros said."I love people and I love coffee. And coffee is meaningful. Coffee was discovered in Ethiopia, so to be around people and to be around coffee, I said I needed to open a coffee shop." "Two things," Aisha Tedros said."We have the best coffee. We import specialty coffee and we make quality drinks and healthy drinks. And we have the best customer service, and we believe in welcoming everybody.
Other Arizona coffee shops that made Yelp's Top 100 include Window Coffee Bar in Phoenix, which ranked No. 29; Kind Bean in Chandler, which ranked No. 36; and William's Coffee Co. in Phoenix, which ranked no. 54.
