The shot was so purposeful, and held on the ring for a good moment.
And then I thought,"WAIT, maybe Varys's rings actually contain poison and that's why he's removing them?!"Because, remember, that's exactly how JOFFREY was killed — by poisoned jewelry.For a quick refresher, Olenna used a poisoned stone from Sansa's necklace to kill Joffrey at the Purple Wedding.Littlefinger gave Dontos a fake family heirloom necklace. Dontos gave that necklace to Sansa — to thank her for saving his life on Joffrey's name day celebration.
Either way, one thing's for sure — there are gonna be a lot of people coming for Daenerys in the series finale.And maybe one of them will use a sneaky bit of poisoned jewelry.
