Crusaders boss reacts to NIFL's strategic plan as debate over change to season rages on
The Crusaders boss was forthright in his views about a potential calendar switch by the Northern Ireland Football League as included in the new strategic plan released last week.
"The league is not set up for summer football, so I am definitely not in favour of a switch," said the Crues boss. "But I don't see the benefits of it. We got five weeks off this year in those summer months before we came back in early to play in Europe, I don't see what the big push for change is. "They keep saying a change will help you in Europe. The luck of the draw will help you in Europe. If you look at the last five or six years you will see that.
