Scots teenage cancer sufferer horrified after being 'thrown out of disabled toilet'
A Scots teenage cancer sufferer was left horrified after being "thrown out of the disabled toilet" and laughed at by a cleaner in a shopping centre.
Sophie has gone through a cycle of relapse and recovery, with the cancer returning three times between 2020 and 2022. "A cleaner then opened the door without warning and threw her out, Sophie was mortified and told the cleaner 'I have cancer' and the cleaner was laughing in her face, told her to stop lying and made her leave. She was absolutely mortified as there were loads of people around her, so she just left.
"We pride ourselves on the level of facilities and service we provide to customers that require additional support during their visit to St James Quarter, and at the heart of this is our commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.”
