Scots teen who lost brain tumour fight becomes third family member to die from disease
A Scots teenager who sadly lost his brain tumour battle has become the third family member to be killed by the same disease.
Max’s aunt, Claire Cordiner, has paid tribute to her nephew and is set to lead the iconic Walk of Hope fundraising event for the Brain Tumour Research charity in September. “He was an amazing young man, one in a million, an inspiration to us all. We are so very proud to have had him in our lives. He's left a Max-shaped hole in our hearts. Brain tumours have absolutely devastated our family.
She said: “Claire’s story is devastating and defies belief. To have three generations of one family diagnosed with the same deadly brain tumour is extremely rare; less than a one in a billion chance.
