Scientists have revealed the noise plants make when they are 'stressed' amid a long-running debate over the issue 🌿

“We believe that humans can also utilise this information, given the right tools – such as sensors that tell growers when plants need watering.”What noise do pants make when they are stressed?tomato and tobacco plants using microphones, they were able to capture ultrasonic sounds between 20 and 250 kilohertz .To create the stress, researchers did not water some of the plants for several days and cut off the stems of others.
The scientists said the mechanisms behind how plants emit sound is unclear with the team adding that it was also unclear whether the plants are producing these sounds to communicate with each other.
