There is mystery amongst residents in a Nottinghamshire town as they have noticed an unpleasant smell in the area. Locals in West Bridgford have taken to social media about a ‘strange’ smell that’s said to have affected the area as well as Lady Bay and The Meadows.
Sara Parry, 35, supervisor at Iguazu, in Gordon Road in West Bridgford, said she noticed the smell when leaving for work on Monday. Sara said: “I smelt it this morning when I left home. They’ve been doing stuff with the water, I had an issue with my water pressure, it could be something to do with that. It is a really strange smell, leaning towards poo.
However, Gunay Acar, 39, waiter at Istanbul BBQ House in Gordon Road, wasn’t aware of the issue with the smell and said none of his customers have mentioned it. “We only smell kebabs here,” he joked.
