Police patrols have been stepped up
Police officers helped to clean 'obscene and offensive' graffiti that had been sprayed on several properties in Hucknall. Ashfield Police says reports were received from several residents living on the estate, built on the old Rolls-Royce site, about the graffiti on Saturday .
Officers from Hucknall's neighbourhood policing team helped the local community to clean the graffiti from the affected properties. Ashfield Police says high visibility patrols will be increased in the area following the incident. The estate off Watnall Road is situated on land that was once home to the Rolls-Royce aerodrome, which was used to test experimental aircraft. The estate includes 900 homes and The Hucknall Flying Academy, a primary school which first opened in 2019.Residents of the estate have previously described living there as "brilliant", noting a strong sense of community spirit.
"The graffiti contained obscene and offensive language and symbols. This is extremely unacceptable. Officers from Hucknall beat team helped the local community to clean the graffiti from their properties."
