Former White House press secretary jrpsaki made the jump from the briefing room to NBC, where she's breaking down the midterms—and prepping for her very own Peacock show. charlottetklein reports:

I sat down with Psaki after she took questions on air, and from the inquisitive interns. By this time, she’d removed her gold hoop earrings and was a few hours out from going home to don her “spider witch” Halloween costume. She can be chummy and funny, but, as a veteran flack, can ably switch gears to become more guarded—such as when I asked whether Biden, who turns 80 later this month, should run for reelection.

It was a similar one she’d made earlier, when one of the interns asked whether she thinks Biden is the best person to run again.

The incoming host, too, spoke only in vague terms about her show, which has yet to hire an executive producer. “One of the things I’ve done since I started here is I’ve met with basically every anchor,” said Psaki. “has given me invaluable advice about how they think about the type of people on a panel to have an interesting conversation,” she said.
