The Padres’ most-recent eighth-rounder hit two more home runs in low Single-A Lake Elsinore’sIt was the second straight two-homer game for Doersching, who is hitting .378/.520/.973 with seven homers and 11 RBIs since he was drafted last month out of Oklahoma State.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Doersching drew comparisons to Luke Voit coming out of the draft.Center fielder Samuel Zavala drove in three runs on three hits, including his third homer and two doubles, and third baseman Marcos Castanon drove in two runs on his 19Right-hander Jared Kollar allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings in the start to take the loss.
