Police powers have been stepped up in Salford after a man was attacked in an alleyway near a shopping centre.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, police said.Detectives believe the attack was 'targeted'. Officers are now trying to track down the male suspect. The order - which covers Nursery Street, Seedley Road, Fitzwarren Street, Heywood Way, Hankinson Way, Belvedere Road and the A6 - will remain in place throughout today. Patrols have also been stepped up in the area.
