A man has died after being attacked by two dogs near a primary school in Staffordshire.
The victim suffered multiple injuries as a result of the incident in the village of Stonnall, near Walsall, at around 3.15pm on Thursday, the ambulance service said.Police are investigating and say children at the nearby St Peter’s primary school were kept inside at the time. A 30-year-old man, from the Lichfield area, has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control.In a statement released last night, Lichfield Police said: “We are investigating after a man received serious injuries after been bitten by two dogs in Stonnall.
“We were called just before 3.15pm this afternoon to Main Street to reports that a man had been attacked by two dogs outside a property.“A number of people helped to try and get the dogs off the man and contained one of the dogs outside.“We prevented a number of school children leaving local primary school, St Peter’s Primary Academy, for safety reasons. The children have since been allowed to go home.
