Oakland-based artist Madame Gandhi is one of the artists performing on the AT&T Turn Up the Love Tour stop in San Francisco.
The resume of Madame Gandhi is absolutely amazing.
As a musician, she’s drummed for the likes of M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Kehlani and even Oprah Winfrey . Plus, she’s released two solo albums — “Voices” and “Visions” — with a third one due out this year. Madame Gandhi has also performed at a number of high-profile music events, including at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival in late May.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is currently pursuing another Masters degree in Music Science & Technology at Stanford University. She’s also an activist, who once visited Antarctica and sampled “the sounds of glaciers melting to create empathy and awareness around climate change,” according to her bio.
