The Spider-Man spinoff movie MadameWeb has reportedly cast Isabela Merced, star of Netflix's Sweet Girl, in an undisclosed role.
Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man spinoff film, Madame Web, has added Isabela Merced to the film's growing cast. The Spider-Man franchise has been making Sony a ton of money over these past few years. Most recently, Spider-Man: No Way Home brought in just shy of $2 billion in its worldwide box office run, making it the sixth highest-grossing film of all time.
Now, Deadline reports that the cast for Madame Web continues to grow. Isabela Merced, star of Dora and the Lost City of Gold and Transformers: The Last Knight, has reportedly joined the Spider-Man spinoff project. She is set to join Dakota Johnson, who will be portraying Madame Web herself, as well as Celeste O’Connor and Sydney Sweeney, who have also been confirmed to appear in the film. Sony has provided no comment on Merced’s reported casting.
