Traffic is building on the M65
All traffic is being held whilst the police deal with the incident between J11-14. Lancashire Constabulary say they expect the road to be closed for some time.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to police incident on M65 in both directions at J13 A682 Scotland Road ." Traffic is said to be beginning to queue and motorists are advised to use alternative routes. A statement on social media from Lancashire Police said: "Due to a Police Incident J11-J14 of the M65 is currently closed in both directions. Please find an alternative route.
"The road is likely to be closed for some time. We will update once the road has reopened. Thank you for your patience."
