An Audi driver from Lancashire has been arrested suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a dramatic crash

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a collision involving an Audi RS6 and a Volkswagen Polo. The incident happened at the junction of Crosby Road South and Knowsley Road in the Seaforth area at around 6.45pm yesterday . The Audi driver, a 44-year-old man from Ormskirk, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The driver of the Polo, a 25-year-old from Litherland, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a 'stable condition'.

The driver of the Audi, a 44-year-old man from the Ormskirk area was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
