Kyuramen's first Houston outpost has already led to 3-hour waits
One of Houston's newest ramen shops is already making an impression with up to three-hour waits in Asiatown.launched its soft opening last week. The restaurant is one of about 120 across the U.S., and the Bellaire Boulevard location marks the chain's first expansion into Texas.
According to its website, Kyuramen prides itself on offering three distinct styles of ramen: South Japan's Kyushu Shio Style, Central Japan's Tokyo Shouyu Style and the Hokkaido Miso Style. Maybe more so than the ramen, the restaurant's omurice has been generating plenty of buzz. The dish consists of a fluffy egg omelet over a bed of chicken fried rice with either beef or pork tonkatsu.
