John Cena is being added to PGA Tour 2K23 as a playable character. He'll be arriving in 2K Sports' game on the same day as its rival EA Sports releases its own PGA Tour game.
, EA Sports PGA Tour is the publisher’s first major golf game since it stopped using the licence in 2015.
The game has been in development at Madden studio EA Tiburon and was originally due to release in Spring 2022 before EAIt will feature 28 real courses and two fantasy ones at launch, each of which has been created using EA’s Frostbite graphics engine.The publisher's golf revamp will arrive a year later than originally planned
Previously, EA had published PGA Tour games between 1990 and 2015. 16 of these were endorsed by Tiger Woods before the partnership ended for its last game in the series, 2015’s Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. In 2020 rival publisher 2K Sports published PGA Tour 2K21, and followed this up with PGA Tour 2K23 in October 2022. Last year it also announced
