The New York Jets have major depth issues on the offensive line. So what now?
In an ideal world, the Jets would make a deal before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline to address their biggest issue: an injury-ravaged offensive line.
“You like reinforcements, but no one’s trading offensive linemen,” Jets coach Robert Saleh said Monday. “They are so scarce throughout the League. There have been so many injuries throughout the League, with regards to the o-line.”No team is dealing with more injuries on the offensive line than the Jets, as left guard Laken Tomlinson is the only one of the five starters to play all seven games at his original position.
Yes, it’s a mess. And the Jets’ best chance to fix it is stick with what they’ve got and scour free agency for viable depth options.
