James Tarkowski has opened up on mood in the Everton camp and spoken out on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay
The Blues are winless in their opening two and their form was compounded by their miserable outing at Aston Villa on Sunday. Unai Emery's side - who were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat on the opening day by Newcastle United - inflicted similar misery on Sean Dyche's men in a 4-0 hammering.

"We cannot be in the position we’ve been in the last couple of years. As a team and a group, we’ve got just to be the best we can be."
Youssef Chermiti and Arnaut Danjuma are among the summer arrivals at Goodison Park as Dyche eyed attacking reinforcements. The Blues are in talks with Southampton over striker Che Adams, following their relegation to the Championship last season. It's been a difficult start for both the England forward and Maupay. Tarkowski detailed the internal reaction to Calvert-Lewin's fitness misfortune: “The way that Dom’s suffered with injuries...and it’s not through lack of effort or hard work. I’ve seen him in the gym and the sacrifices he made all summer to try and get fit.
