We're sure Mick would have loved this
The mystery behind Goose Fair legend Goosey's golden egg has been solved. Nottinghamshire Live reported how the famous goose, who sits on the Mansfield Road island near the fairground site, appeared to have 'laid' an egg - a sizeable one at that.
It began 20 years ago, when Lee's dad Mick, "a bit of a joker", wanted to put an egg behind the goose. He and Lee attempted to make one but didn't get the chance to finish it.Mick died when Lee was 19 and after his passing he always wanted to carry out his dad's wishes in memory of him. Sarah said: "Fast forward 20 years, my husband started work on this golden egg. He is a joiner and so the decision to make it out of wood was a no brainer.
