The steamy weather returned Wednesday when a dry air mass finally moved in pushing out the rainy weather we’ve seen the past few weeks. Only one more day before the summer-like, rainy pattern returns just in time for Labor Day weekend kicks off.

Temperatures will drop into the low 80s, upper 70s by midnight under clearing skies and light winds. Thursday morning will start in mid-to-upper 70s, 80s at the coast.The tropics are starting to make waves as we near the end of a quiet August. Hurricane Ernesto was the only storm this month causing ripples across the predictions that this season might not be as active as originally thought.
However, we’re seeing an uptick in the wave activity off the African coast as a new disturbance is closely monitored by the National Hurricane Center . As of the 2:00 p.m. outlook from the NHC, the central tropical Atlantic disturbance is disorganized but moving WNW at 10-15 mph. They believe development is possible this weekend into early next week. There’s a 20% chance of formation through the next seven days.
