A man from Northern Ireland left 'broken and grieving' after he was told he might not be able to have children says there needs to be more help and support for men with fertility issues:
"I was in bits, I can't really express to you how bad I was."
After five years of trying for a baby with his wife, he had decided to make an appointment for sperm analysis."It was an absolute bombshell," he told BBC News NI.He added: "It was as if I was grieving." What he found was a majority of support groups which focused on women's experiences of fertility, something which he said he could not identify with."People need to talk about it."
The centre provides semen analysis for men in Northern Ireland, alongside NHS labs in Craigavon Area Hospital and Altnagelvin Area Hospital.
