It's gone down well with residents
Families have been full of praise for a new cycle track that has opened up on a park in Nottinghamshire. Work on the track at the Ilkeston Road Recreation Ground, Stapleford, began back in January.
The 200-metre network of mini roads includes road markings, zebra crossings, a roundabout and road signs. The cycle track is available to use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.40-year-old Kay Kemp is mum to Blubell, 4. She says her daughter loves the new cycle track. “To be honest I don’t normally come to this park, we just came for this. We live in Stapleford but this isn’t the closest one to us. We came here for the cycle track, it’s brilliant. We’re really impressed with it.”
A mum of two who wished to not be named said: “It’s the first time we’ve been here. It looks really nice, it’s good. It’s been busy every time I’ve driven past. My older daughter really wants to come here, it’s definitely something we will visit more often.”
