Ed Sheeran will release a new song in collaboration with The Pokémon Company next week
Titled ‘Celestial’, the song will be released on September 29 on all major music streaming platforms. Sheeran posted a brief clip of the song, which he sang surrounded byArtwork for the single, which features Ed and a crudely-drawn Pikachu, has also been revealedWhile this may seem like a strange collaboration to some, the Grammy award-winning musician is actually a huge fan of the Pokémon franchise.
Ahead of the Pokémon World Championships in London earlier this year, Ed recorded a message for attendees. He’s also publicly spoken in the past about being stuck in a train station all night during his early touring days, and to pass the time he played Pokémon Red on the Game Boy Colour for nine hours straight.
