Preston-based artist BLKYmusic has released two songs for world record-holding Scottish boxing twins Kay-Lee and Leigha Barnes 🥊
The opportunity arose for Liam Blake, professionally known as BLKY, through a mutual clothing sponsor he shares with the Irvine twins called Cayden James Clothing who thought the rapper would be fit for the role.
From the lessons he learnt on composing the track, Liam spent months crafting a piece that Kay-Lee and Leigha Barnes would use as their ring walk music for future bouts.The 26-year-old said: “I really liked the challenge of writing a song about these two young female boxers because that’s something quite different to anything I’ve ever done before and to be able to show my support and help them in their journey is a very proud moment.
