A property was searched while the arrest was taking place
Police located a man wanted on suspicion of a number of offences in the Howard Street area in the early hours of Sunday, April 9.
While the arrest was taking place, officers carried out a search of a property where a quantity of Class A and C drugs were seized with an estimated value of £4,000 along with drug paraphernalia.A 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession and supply offences and remains in police custody at this time.
Inspector Bell said: “This proactive policing operation resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of drugs which would otherwise have been distributed into the community.
