Task force members served the warrant at 2512 W. 280 South in Provo, which is across the street from Amelia Earhart Elementary School. Heroin was found in a laundry hamper in the master bedroom and more than $4,000 in cash in a backpack, according to a police booking affidavit."The AK-47 had a 30-round magazine fully loaded in the gun, with three different types of rounds stacked: a full metal jacket, a hollow point, and then armor-piercing to fill the magazine.
Alejandro Rodriguez, 42, was arrested for investigation of drug possession with intent to distribute, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and nine counts of being a restricted person in possession of a weapon. Before serving the warrant, Rodriguez told police they wouldn't find anything, according to the affidavit.
"Once the heroin was located, I asked Alejandro about the heroin. ... Alejandro stated, 'I wanted to make you work for it,'" the arresting officer wrote in the affidavit. "I asked Alejandro about being a restricted person and in possession of guns. He stated he knew he was restricted and liked guns and to shoot."
