A semi-truck driver was killed when a train carrying coal derailed onto Interstate 25 just north of Pueblo on Sunday afternoon.
The rental car companies at DIA need more room to meet the growing number of passengers going through the airport, DIA said in a news release. There are five rental car brands on-site and several off-site that serve DIA. The existing sites have not had significant improvement since the airport opened, DIA said.
The current rental car program has 12,760 parking spaces. With the influx of passengers, DEN will need 16,130 parking spaces, a 26% increase, according to DIA.
