Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, who has played much-loved Cobbles character Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, has landed a role in the stage version of popular film Sister Act
The 60 year old actress, who has played much-loved Cobbles character Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, has landed a role in the stage version of popular film Sister Act. It is not the first time that Sue has stepped away from Coronation Street, as she starred in 2022’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
Last month it was also reported that Sue was set to join an all-star cast on a new series of BBC reality show Pilgrimage. The star was said to be taking time away from the ITV soap to appear on the BBC Two show - although she has no plans to leave permanently. According to The Sun, Sue will appear on the programme alongside famous faces including Christine McGuinness - who in recent years has opened up about her autism diagnosis at the age of 33.
In a video shared to her Instagram, she said: “I’m really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. But, I’ve had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about… keto dummies.”
