Lucy-Jo updated fans after she was taken to hospital Former Coronation Street and Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson has revealed that she was rushed to hospital for a blood transfusion.
The star, who played Katy Harris on Corrie and is perhaps best known as Hollyoaks’ Donna-Marie Quinn, took to social media to share an update with her fans, revealing that she’d experienced a ‘strange few days’. ‘Sorry I’ve been so quiet on here’, she started. ‘I was rushed to A&E on Thursday afternoon needing a blood transfusion! I actually ended up needing 2, my HB levels were that dangerously low! ‘But thanks to the most amazing NHS staff at Salford Royal, I am on the mend.
‘And this is not a “feel sorry for me” post, this is to make you all aware that “self care” is so important in the crazy world we all live in right now. Sending our love. Lucy-Jo recently left Hollyoaks, with Donna-Marie Quinn departing after a long stint as a main character, coupled with several recurring stints following her debut in 2018.
