Great news for coffee lovers
A rooftop terrace overlooking the park is a high spot at the latest 200 Degrees coffee shop to open in Nottinghamshire - this time in West Bridgford. The former Oliver Bonas shop, left vacant due to relocation, has been transformed in the trademark style of 200 Degrees.
All the usual speciality coffees will be made by baristas plus the less commonly served Spanish latte, which has the addition of condensed milk. Tea, smoothies and shakes are also on the menu. Bridgford is a competitive market, there's lots of operators who would like to operate here so even if you want a site you can't always end up occupying it." 200 Degrees batted off competitive from national companies to secure the site. "Maybe being local and small and nimble has helped us achieve that."
The space contains 65 seats inside and 44 out the front and on the balcony. Mr Darby said: "It's certainly not a bad view. It's the first to have a balcony. When it was Oliver Bonas you couldn't see it. It was just hidden. We could do with the dry weather because obviously it's a lot bigger with the dry weather," he added.
"We focus on the hospitality element of what we do. Just making a good cup of coffee, a nice sandwich or a tasty piece of cake isn't enough. There's so many cost pressures in hospitality these days, whether it's rent or rates or utilities or the inflationary nature of the food products.
