Met Office Christmas week day-by-day forecast for Lancashire as 10C swing ends big freeze
. The rise in mercury levels will definitely feel tropical compared to last week.
Wednesday and Friday are predicted to be the wettest days. Over in Blackpool, temperatures will rise to 9C. Rain is predicted Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Darwen as temperatures peak at 7C. On Christmas Day the rain will stop and temperatures will hit 5C. Speaking on Sunday, Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said: “Monday night into Tuesday, for most it’s going to be a lot milder than it has been of late but we could still see a touch of frost particularly in parts of Scotland.
“Things have gone from well below average, tomorrow they go to quite a bit above average and then they return closer to average as we go through tomorrow night onwards.”
