A Pakistani Christian woman who was wrongfully convicted of blasphemy and jailed for eight years has left the country after months in legal limbo
, reuniting with her daughters in Canada on Wednesday.
Islamic extremists had threatened to kill the woman, Asia Bibi, after Pakistan’s Supreme Court in October overturned her 2010 conviction, leaving her in protective custody amid concern for her safety.
