Cheryl celebrated turning 40 by sharing a fun selfie that left fans praising her as an “icon” after they spotted an unusual detail.
She captioned the picture: “So…this is 40,” followed by a flower emoji to match her eyewear. But eagle-eyed fans were left distracted after they noticed she was wearing not one but two pairs of sunglasses - as she also had a pair resting on top of her head. She made her West End debut this year in Danny Robins' play 2:22 A Ghost Story, where she starred alongside EastEnders' Jake Wood from January to April. A source told The Sun the job had breathed new life into her career and she was keen to give other roles a go.
Also this month, it was reported Cheryl wanted to "have her say" as she came in for criticism for the age gap between her and ex Liam Payne in the wake of the Phillip Schofield affair scandal.
