Texans WR Brandin Cooks says he wants to 'win now' after being frustrated after not being traded
Texans receiver Brandin Cooks took to Twitter to express his frustration after not being traded before the NFL's Nov. 1 deadline.Brandin Cooks admitted he was frustrated last week after he wasn’t traded at the NFL’s trade deadline.“For me personally, I just at the end of the day want to win and compete now,” Cooks said in his first comments in nearly two weeks. “That’s been my thought process.
The next time the Texans can move him is in January or February, and the team would have to eat a portion of that $18 million in guaranteed money. Cooks, 29, was excused from practice last Tuesday and Wednesday after subtly voicing his displeasure on Twitter. He did not play in last Thursday’s 29-17 loss to the Eagles because coach Lovie Smith said he didn’t feel Cooks was ready after not practicing.
