Boeing finds another software issue with the 737 MAX airliner, one unrelated to the flaw implicated in two plane crashes

Boeing Co. said it has identified a second software issue it needs to fix on the 737 MAX airliner which is unrelated to the flight-control flaw implicated in the crash of two of the planes in recent months.

Boeing has been scrutinizing the 737 MAX’s software because a malfunction of an anti-stall system, called MCAS, that has been linked to the crash of a Lion Air plane last year and an Ethiopian Airlines jet on March 10. The two crashes killed all 346 people on the two flights.
