Apple has made product changes to emphasize its commitment to privacy—and strike a contrast with Facebook and Google

With its latest round of announcements during its annual developers conference, Apple has made product changes to emphasize that message—and strike a contrast with Facebook and Google.
Signing in with Apple allows users to log into apps with one tap, but without sharing any data to third party app developers . Users can even hide their real email from apps if they choose. If an app needs to send you an email, Apple will create a random email address that forwards emails to your real address. That way, apps won’t have your email if you don’t want them to.: “Apple Sign On is overdue, at least from my perspective as a consumer. Betting consumers have fatigue with their data being monetized,” said Julie Ask, president and principal analyst at Forrester.
