I strongly agree with letter writer Steve Weakley’s comments concerning cyclists taking over the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails System. I, too, walk the trails and am constantly looking for bike riders speeding by without a thought to slow down. I thank bikers who use a bell to alert of their approaching. The trails are safe when bike riders and walkers follow the posted signs.
It’s a single sentence of 77 words that’s pure gobbledygook; it should’ve been rewritten in plain English by someone who believes that literacy and clarity still matter.
