So it’s a number that we should all be proud of.”
“That was special for me,” Cole said. “I love pitching at home in front of our fronts. We have a lot of fans on the road, too, but there’s just something about having good nights in the Bronx. It doesn’t get much better than that.”--Yankees closer Clay Holmes replaced Cole to start the ninth and got into a bases-loaded, one-out jam that turned into two runs before Spencer Horwitz grounded out to first base with the tying runs on base.
