Police raced to the entrance of Oakfield High Rise, on Anderson Street, where the attack took place on Wednesday morning. The 'XL Bully' type dog has since been euthanised.
A dog was put down after a teenager suffered horrific injuries in an attack outside a block of flats in North Lanarkshire on Wednesday, October 18.
Emergency services scrambled to the entrance of Oakfield high rise, on Anderson Street, in Motherwell, at around 11.20am. Officers received reports that a dog - understood to be an XL Bully - had attacked a young man. The 18-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment for his injuries, the nature of which is currently unknown.
