The police are investigating a shooting that took place in an apartment complex.

According to police, the shooting was reported around 3.28 a.m. Sgt. Raul Granados of the Pasadena Police Department said the boyfriend shot the girlfriend several times, telling authorities he thought she was an intruder.

It’s been confirmed the couple lived together and that the girlfriend was inside the apartment when she was shot. She was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital, while the boyfriend was taken in for questioning. The boyfriend reportedly has been cooperating with the police.reported any history of domestic violence at the apartment location is currently unknown.
