Police in Brooklyn are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Bed-Stuy.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. Friday inPolice say the driver of a dark-colored Hyundai sedan struck a motorized scooter at the intersection of Throop and Lexington avenues, knocking the driver to the roadway. The driver of the sedan then took off.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She has been identified as 43-year-old Bernadine Lewis, of Brooklyn.Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at
