It happened on Moor Hill Road in Newry
Emergency services were called to the scene on Moor Hill Road in Newry at around lunch time on Wednesday. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 12:28pm and sent three appliances.
The female casualty was rescue from the quarry, with firefighters using a mule stretcher. She was then taken into the care of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.In a statement to Belfast Live, a spokesperson for NIFRS said: "Three fire appliances attended the incident – two from Newry Fire Station and one Specialist Rescue Appliance.
"Firefighters were called to rescue a female casualty from a quarry. Firefighters used a mule stretcher to rescue the casualty and she was then taken into the care of Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
