Woman found stabbed in Escondido apartment; man arrested on suspicion of domestic violence [Breaking]
A woman was critically injured in a stabbing in an Escondido apartment early Wednesday and a man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Officers were called to an apartment building on North Quince Street near West Washington Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing loud arguing. When officers arrived they found the victim bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds inside an apartment and she was rushed to a hospital, said Escondido police Sgt. Mike Graesser.
The suspect was found outside the apartment and was taken into custody. The man’s hands were bloody when he was detained, Graesser said.Two young children — ages 4 and 6 — lived at the home. The older child ran to neighboring apartment and told the residents his mother was being stabbed, Graesser said.
