Steve says:"Wolves' famous fluorescent shirts were not originally commissioned by Wolves for their floodlit games. "Under the heading 'Lighter side' there was also a reference in the Daily Mirror: 'There were gasps of astonishment at Molineux on Saturday when Billy Wright, Wolves’ skipper, led his men out for the second half wearing vivid yellow luminous shirts. In the gathering gloom the Wolves players seemed to float like phantoms across the pitch.'
